I bought the Astercook Knife Set, 13 Pieces, expecting “just okay” budget knives because of the low price and all the glowing reviews. After using them for a while, I’m honestly impressed. These are not professional chef knives and I did not expect them to be at this price, but they are way better than the usual cheap sets. Out of the box they were very sharp, and after using the main chef knife on tougher jobs like cutting through oxtail and trimming around small bones, the edge has held up much better than I thought it would. No chipping, no weird bends, and they still slice cleanly.

These knives are super slick and super sharp. I love that they all have their own ‘sleeves’ so you can keep them safely in a drawer which I prefer over my professional knife block.

These are razor sharp, I repeat, RAZOR sharp and should only be used by adults with knife skills.

That all being said, slicing through vegetables or tough cuts of meat with these knives is like cutting butter…pretty awesome and much less of a task compared to having to lug out the ol’ timey food processor.
